COMPUTER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (C.I.T) was founded by Rene Aguero, Executive Director of the institute, in North Hollywood, CA in January 1998 and began operation in February 1998 training students. On November 15th, 2005. C.I.T was approved by the Workforce Investment Board (W.I.B) for inclusion in the Regional Training Vocational Directory (RTVD). C.I.T is approved by the Homeland Security Administration to train foreign students under nonimmigrant student visas and by the Veterans Administration. C.I.T was initially approved in 1998 to offer the following courses: Computer Graphic Design Specialist, Computer Graphics Specialist - Web Page Designer, Computer Network Specialist , Computer Networks Specialist - MCSE, Computer Repair Specialist, Office Software Specialist. On July 12th, 1999 C.I.T was approved by the California Department of Health Services, and the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPE) to offer the course in Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide, and Phlebotomy. In 2011 C.I.T. was approved to offer English As A Second Language
C.I.T. is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education to offer the following courses: Interpretation and Translation, Medical Assistant Coding and Billing, Pharmacy Technician, and Physical Therapy Aide. C.I.T has (2) two additional Branch campuses. (1) the first was located 132 N. Chicago Street, Los Angeles, California 90033, and relocated in 2012, to 4126-30 E. Gage Avenue, Bell, California 90032. (2) the second was in Whittier, Ca. and relocated in 2012 to 6501 Foothill Blvd., Ste. 204, Tujunga, California 91042.
